Can You Lift Concrete That Is Badly Cracked?

Minor to moderate cracks are no problem. We lift the slab and the cracks often close up or become much less visible as the concrete returns to grade, then we seal them. If a slab is shattered into several loose pieces or crumbling from age, lifting it won't hold it together — replacement is the better call there.

The honest test is whether the slab is still one solid piece. Hairline cracks, settlement cracks, a cracked-but-intact driveway panel — all fine. A slab that rocks, has chunks missing, or has rebar showing through spalled concrete is past the point lifting can help. We'll tell you which one you have during the free estimate, even when the answer is "replace it" — pushing foam onto a slab that needs replacing wastes your money and our time.
